Acceptance and scope
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of CartonVista's website, browser-based packing tools, size and weight calculators, published guides, methodology documentation, and business workflows (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you accept these Terms and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use CartonVista.
These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. We recommend reviewing these Terms periodically, as continued use after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
What CartonVista provides
CartonVista offers a browser-first packing and cartonization workbench designed to help individuals and businesses make practical packing decisions. The Service includes:
- Personal and Business workspace interfaces for packing planning
- Carton selection and availability workflows (need boxes, have boxes, hybrid)
- Box size and dimensional weight calculations
- Batch processing for multiple items
- Educational guides and methodology documentation
- Independent geometric verification of packing placements
CartonVista assists with packing decisions by providing verified geometric placements based on supplied dimensions and constraints. The Service does not guarantee a globally optimal packing solution for every scenario, nor does it perform physical strength testing or guarantee real-world shipping success.
Permitted use and responsibilities
You may use CartonVista for legitimate personal and commercial packing workflows. You remain responsible for supplying accurate item dimensions, weights, carton properties, handling requirements, and operational constraints. The quality of CartonVista's output depends on the accuracy of your inputs.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempt to circumvent any security or access control measures
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Use the Service to generate harmful, deceptive, or malicious content
You acknowledge that you are solely responsible for ensuring your use of CartonVista complies with applicable laws, regulations, and any third-party requirements that may apply to your shipping activities.
Packing results and verification
CartonVista provides independently verified geometric placements showing how items can fit within cartons based on the dimensions and constraints you supply. It is important to understand the distinction between geometric verification and real-world shipping safety:
- CartonVista verifies that items fit geometrically within the specified carton dimensions
- CartonVista does not verify package strength, material suitability, cushioning adequacy, or fragility protection
- CartonVista does not guarantee carrier acceptance, legal compliance, or that a packing plan will withstand shipping conditions
- Results should be reviewed with appropriate context before physical execution
You are responsible for exercising independent judgment regarding the suitability of any packing plan for your specific shipping needs, including considering factors like item fragility, weight distribution, carrier requirements, and insurance considerations.
Browser-local information
CartonVista's current implementation stores workspace data—such as recent items, plans, saved cartons, projects, and preferences—locally in your browser. This approach does not require cloud accounts or server-side storage for core functionality.
Because this data is browser-local:
- Clearing browser data, using private/incognito modes, or switching devices may affect saved work
- Browser storage restrictions or device failure could result in data loss
- You are responsible for keeping any desired CSV or JSON backups of your packing plans

CartonVista relies on third-party services—such as hosting providers, web browsers, external websites, and shipping carriers—that operate independently. These services may have their own terms, privacy policies, and requirements that affect your use of CartonVista.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with or without notice. While we aim to communicate significant changes when practical, we cannot commit to advance notice in every circumstance.
You acknowledge that CartonVista's development direction, interface design, and underlying algorithms may change as the product matures, and that past functionality may not remain available indefinitely.
Warranties and limitations
CartonVista provides the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
Without limiting the foregoing, CartonVista does not warrant that:
